Shelley Rolland-Poruks is an experienced communicator, project manager and team leader. In April 2016, Shelley joined the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency as the Manager Corporate and Digital Communications. Prior to this role she was with Elections Canada where during the lead up to and delivery of the 42nd general election, she was a Senior Strategic Communications Advisor with the Media Relations and Issues Management team.
From 2008 to 2015, Shelley was employed at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited’s Chalk River Laboratories, where she oversaw their community affairs and public information programs. As the Section Head Community Affairs she was responsible for stakeholder relations and public consultation, and was the corporate liaison between AECL and the community. Previously, Shelley worked in post-secondary school administration at Nipissing University and St. Thomas University. She began her career with the national not-for-profit organization Best Buddies – Vrais Copains Canada.
